Activision has officially named the next title in the lucrative Call of Duty series. Previously known as Call of Duty 7, the title is now confirmed as Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game is being developed by Santa Monica-based studio Treyarch, responsible for several previous instalments in the military first-person shooter series, including Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty 3.

The press announcement provides little extra information, simply promising that Black Ops will, \"take players behind enemy lines in an entirely new chapter in the groundbreaking and record-setting, No. 1 first-person action series of all-time.\"

For the last few months, news sites have been rife with rumours that the game would be set in Vietnam - and the title announcement does not necessarily contradict that. As the Official Xbox Magazine reported, Treyarch put out a casting call in LA earlier this year, looking for an actor to play one \'Frank Barnes\', a WW2 veteran and member of the Studies and Observations Group, a black ops unit active during the Vietnam war.

Looks like the EA backend is having server GUID ghosting issues again.  Servers are kicked from the lobby for
being a duplicate.  There have been reports that stopping your server for 15 minutes and then starting it again will clear the issue
But this is unconfirmed at this time.

EA is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon or everyone who doesn't get affected by this will not have a server worth anything for a long time! Come on DICE you should of known massive amounts of people would get servers when they made such a fuss about MW2 taking a crap on PC users.

Bad Company 2 Windows!

If you are like me while playing BC2 on PC you will find yourself faced with a rather irritating decision. Such a simple action should never have to warrant a second thought in gaming. You are there to focus 100% on the opponent. Never the less I always fail at making this decision, I see the window, quickly think about it, and say I have a 50/50 shot of making it through! Do I jump or not? Ultimately I ran and make the leap of faith into the window to almost always get stuck! Nothing but suicide or getting killed will free you out of these windows from hell. So my first thought will be to stay there and fight to my death! Never works! Some nub kid will sneak up behind you and knife you in the ass.
